I do not expect you to know me so let me just introduce myself here.
My in-game name's OfficialCookie and I have been a player of Jartex for as long as I can remember. Initially, I was a player, oh I mean a "no-lifer" at Creative. Gradually I became a Bedwars player and very soon, a player who enjoyed Practice. Throughout these years of me loving Minecraft only because of Jartex, I started helping the Jartex community by reporting.
I definitely gained a lot of popularity (or should I say infamy?) by being an active voter, usual participant in the Jartex events, being a donator(tbh I only bought the rank to get 10 plots lmfao) or just by snitching by reporting rule-breakers.
Creative. Around 3-4 years back, when Jartex shut down Creative, I quit Minecraft. Oh, Creative was NOT a "Dead" gamemode, yet it was shut down. I solely believe it was only shut down because of some unmitigable idiots constantly building lag machines, portal traps or some other nuisance. Yes, I agree Creative was pretty troublesome but not that wild for the Server to just shut it down without giving players any notice of how to download their builds. Creative was not only known for its builds but also the chaos caused by Griefers. Ah, what an era. There once existed a "Griefing Club" too gng
.Creative was a platform where players invested not only their time but also pieces of their imagination, built it block by block with severe efforts. Nevertheless, their plots were still deleted by the server eventually as they shut Creative down entirely.
Bedwars. The server was always rushed with players during the COVID-19, and so a large number of players would play Bedwars. I found innumerable friends (or should I refer to them as my Minecraft friends). We played for hours and hours every single day. Even though I had Online Schooling, I couldn't care less about it. The thing I enjoyed about Bedwars was that it wasn't just a gamemode for me-it was a gamemode of strategy and adrenaline. Every single match felt new even if I played with the same party members. Whether I lost or won, it was the laughter, late-night vcs(voice chats) and the thrill of protecting that one bed which was covered by wool which made it all unforgettable. During the pandemic, Bedwars gave me enjoyment that will last a lifetime.
Practice. Another gamemode that was removed by the developers. As far as I can remember though, its player count was pretty high.
Well there's not much I can write about Practice because it was a gamemode to improve, learn and grow as Minecraft players. The best memories I had on this gamemode was definitely raging over Spleef matches with my friends
.
Well, what a hell of a ride.
As the old players turn old physically, we have stopped playing. Though, we carry a lot of memories with this Server, I hate to say it that we have all grown up unconsciously. The game, the server or even the players do not feel like how they did. They do not feel real.
Anyways, that was a lot of yapping. Sincere apologies.
The whole point of me creating this thread was just to reflect back on these memories and thank Jartex for shaping not just my gameplay but my entire childhood. And to my old fellow players reading this, you weren't just my party members or plot builders but you were my online family. Jartex was not a mere server, it was a home during the most crucial years of my life. Thank you so much JartexNetwork.
Lots of love,
Thank you,
