is blockhitting always a bad idea because i have that habit but i dont spam it or do it when im near an edge and i do it too when im outgeared

It's a 50/50, I only recommend using it in very tight situations because when you block you lose your sprint so in open areas it isn't that good.
For high ping players like me, blockhiting is a bit hard cause if you make a mistake, you can easily get combo-ed so I prefer W-Tapping.
