I doubt someone would be able to have evidence of their inventory since they didn't exactly predict crashing and losing it.

The most probable cause is that your /fly mode was enabled before the server reboot and was automatically disabled afterward. If you were in the air when this happened, you would have fallen and died on your island.

In that case, your items would have dropped at the location of your death. Since you were AFK and unable to recover them, the dropped items likely despawned after some time.

Its not bug and you will not get that back.
