Hello there, my name is Tyrelle, I'm a Helper at Jartex Network and today I'm making this thread to assist the members of the community who often ask this question, "How do I make a chest shop?".
Ok so first off, let me explain what a chest shop is. A chest shop is basically an easier way to buy/sell items without having to do manual trades. It's very helpful but not a lot of people know how to make one so I hope after reading this thread everyone will be able to make one on their own.
The steps to making a chest shop are as follows:
- First, get the item you want to buy/sell and execute the command [ /iteminfo ] with the item held in hand as shown in the screenshot below. (using enchanted gapples as an example)
- After executing the command, you should see two messages in chat saying "Full Name" and "Shop sign", the one you'll need is "Shop Sign" so make sure you remember it.
For the second step, you'll of course need the basic materials for building the shop which are Signs and Chests, you can purchase chests from the shop and you can easily craft a sign using wood and sticks.
Now for the third and final step, also the most important step, setting up the shop. For this step you'll have to follow closely or you could get it wrong.
- The first thing you have to do is, place the sign on the chest and type in what follows:
- On the first line, type your name.
- On the second line, type the amount of the item you'll be buying/selling (1,10,32,64, can be any amount)
- On the third line you put the price, now, this is the most Crucial step and you musn't forget this. In front of the price, you're going to put the letter 'S' if people are going to sell the item to you and the letter 'B' if people are going to buy from you.
- And on the 4th line, you're gonna put the item's shop name that you got from running the /iteminfo command.
Now, when all those steps are completed, the shop sign should look like this:
And simple as that, you've just made a shop sign, congrats!
Feel free to ask any questions if there's anything you didn't understand or you can contact me on discord (Lucid#7069)
