How to counter a rush from another team?

I dunno if they are rushing me i would start up to gain high ground so that i can jump on their bridge and try to knock them off, or get their bed if im going for a bed trade.

Make your bed T H I C C so they can't explode it that fast. Then you need to try get over the bridge and finally you go to their base , explode their bed and then killing them. This is what I'm doing
