I contacted a staff member about it and there's no exceptions, posting replies in 1 month old threads to revive them is punishable whether you were trying to help or not.

I don't think someone would wait a whole month for an answer, it is possible that he already got his answer from somewhere else like assistant chat or directly from a staff member.
