Solved Got a question about forum messages

Where does forum messages apply? If I send a msg to a player's inbox and start a convo there, does that get me messages? Or does everything count as a message as long as there is a post button? Thank you!

The message counter will only be updated when you send a msg in threads other than off topic thread.

So it does count inboxs? So if I direct message you, That counts as a message?

Idts if you start a conversation with anyone and send a message it won't be counted as a message because people can spam stuff inorder to gain msgs and no one can do anything unless the other guy reports you as there is no staff member monitoring the chat.

You cannot lock a thread only helper+ can lock threads.
