Does the /report actually do sth

It has never seemed to do anything and i cant even do it in BW

/report Command would give you link to Player Reports
Now it doesnt do that anymore

Whenever you did /report, it just directed you to the link to Player-Report Subsection which is this. Now, if you encounter a cheater, you can do the following steps:

• Type /staff in-game to check for online staff.
• Record the cheater in clear video footage and than go here to report them. Once you're at the link, go to Gameplay reports. Upload your video on YT and post the video footage in the report, where the staff will review it and punish the player accordingly.

./report was added for practise only at this stage. /report is not on any of the other gamemodes.
