Suggestion Details:
We are currently experiencing a great downfall of BedWars. The player count has never been lower, with the fact that there are days when BedWars doubles don't have a single game playing for the whole day! That’s a big enough sign that something is wrong. The only thing that could eventually save BedWars is implementing some new features. I’m suggesting some improvements to be added, and will list them below:

  • NEW COSMETICS
There are some nice suggestions for new cosmetics that are still pending. It would be great if they get added.

  • QUICK STORING ITEMS IN CHESTS
If you're in a rush and want to save your items as fast as possible, you could do it without even opening the chest - by just doing a shift-left click on the chest, and the items get stored automatically…

  • INABILITY TO DROP ITEMS WHILE FALLING IN VOID
Basically when a player reaches a specific Y coordinate that’s considered as being in void, the server removes the ability to drop your valuable items in the void, to prevent your opponent from getting them. It makes the game much more fair…

  • NICKNAME OBFUSCATION IN PREGAME LOBBY
One problem that Jartex BedWars has is many players queue dodging nicks and good players in order to keep their winstreaks and avoid hard games. It makes the whole game boring, many games are not being filled properly because of the whole team skipping the game, and many players with low skills get to fight sweats instead of getting sweats to play against each other. The solution for this is simple - obfuscate player names and skins during a pregame lobby. Name obfuscation is easy, since Minecraft has a random character chat code (&k), and it would be best to make all obfuscated names to have the same size, so players can’t memorize them in any way.

It would make playing on Jartex much more exciting and also much more challenging!


  • TOOL UPGRADES IMPROVEMENTS
Many, many players have already requested this, and are still requesting it. It’s the function of being able to upgrade our tools from wooden to any other tier, instead of having to buy the higher tier tool from the shop. And every time a player dies, the tool gets downgraded to the lower tier tool. It’s not that hard to do, but is a huge QOL improvement!

  • NEW LOBBIES
Now, I know this is very limited nowadays since Jartex doesn’t have a builder team anymore, or the team is very inactive, but it would be great if we get a new BedWars lobby, that would be such a refreshment for these old lobbies!

  • NEW BEDWARS MAPS
Jartex didn’t add a single new BedWars map for a very very long time. The only way the maps switch is by map rotation, which basically just rotates old maps. Jartex should definitely add new maps, even if they’re some maps that players can see in Hypixel. It’s nothing bad to use maps that are highly liked by players, even if they’re presented in another server as well. It won’t make the situation with player count decreasing even worse, it can only make it better and stop this downfall. Additionally, PikaNetwork uses some old Hypixel maps as well, so why wouldn’t Jartex… Again, there is nothing bad in it.

  • NEW NICKNAMES
The nicknames we get when we use /nick today are always with the same structure, making it very easy to spot a nicked player in the game. Thus, the nicknames should be updated. Nowadays we have AI technology which can be used to generate so many nicknames with different structures, and would be great to add nickname generation through AI, perhaps with multiple structures available (such as random letters & numbers, random fake MC nicknames, etc.).

  • REMOVE THE ABILITY TO SEE REAL NAMES OF NICKED PLAYERS IN RECAPS
Many people use recaps to check for real usernames of nicked players after they finish a game. It makes it unfair since it removes the point of nicking, and also promotes some kind of public shaming to the player who lost. Instead, just show the nickname which was used in that game in the recap.

  • REBALANCE THE EXP / LEVELS PROGRESSION
Jartex has updated the level cap up to 200, which is great and was really wanted by the community, however, the amount of earned EXP has not been much rebalanced. The fact that at the moment I’m writing this we have only one player being above level 130, specifically 132, and all others are below even level 115, and it’s been months since the update of increasing levels cap was introduced. The problem is that it’s still quite challenging to reach level 100, and as for higher levels, it takes too long to level up. Thus, getting to level 200 would probably take several years of active playing. None of the players like slow progression, and while it’s also not okay to make it too easy as players would get bored of grinding again, it should be rebalanced. Either through missions (which was already updated) or through boosters, or in some other way.

  • REBALANCE GLOBAL BOOSTERS
In one of previous updates we’ve got new personal boosters to purchase in goldshop. However, global boosters have never been updated, and nowadays are pretty much useless. The way global boosters used to work was by players tipping a booster, which would reward a player who activated it with some small amount of coins and EXP. It all worked fine when we had lots of players. But now, with a big lack of players, there’s barely anyone to tip the boosters. Thus global boosters should be reworked, and made more OP, since they’re much more expensive than personal ones.
My suggestion is to make it so when a booster is activated, all players get the 2x or 3x EXP multiplier, and the player who activated the booster gets like 30% or 50% of each player’s EXP earning. That would make global boosters useful again and worth buying.


  • BRING BACK MAP SUBMISSIONS
I believe there still are players in the community that are good builders, and would like to submit some new map ideas for Jartex. Map submissions were a great thing, but would’ve been even better if it was actually used to update maps…

  • PERFORMANCE-WISE UPDATES
Although it used to lag much more in the past, and sometimes was barely playable, there are still some issues from performance-side that could surely be worked on and polished.


There is much more that could be added, however these would be some of the most important implementations we need to revive Jartex BedWars once again.


Additionally to this suggestion, I’m bumping a few other suggestions I’ve found still pending, and being very very good and with very positive feedback. So please, consider them as well…


How could this idea help improve JartexNetwork?
Keeping the server as it is, without any major updates, won’t make it any better. The activity is lower than ever, with barely having total of 100 players playing BedWars. It’s not just that players got busy with life, it’s much more that players got tired of the exact same thing over and over again for years, with barely any refreshment. BedWars still has the potential, it just requires some perfect updates that would bring interest of players into it again.
