1. ProjectL by Orange Marshal
This modification was made to fix hit registry that comes with 1.8 and just generally is supposed to improve pvp. I clearly notice the difference and I highly recommend this to players with high ping.

2. Mouse Delay Fix by prplz
This mod fixes the 1-10ms delay between clicking your mouse and your item swings. Sometimes this minute ammount of time can make.

This simple mod creates a HUD that displays when you press your WASD keys or Left and Right click.

3. 5zig by the5zig
This mod is a large mod which enables you to make custom HUDs, advanced capes, timer and a it even keeps your stats! You can do many things with 5zig such as having a teamspeak module ingame and monitoring your computer system through minecraft! I highly recommend 5zig for its shear ammount of features and I'm sure you will find something that 5zig can help you with.

4. Vanilla Enhancements by Orange Marshal (He makes alot of useful stuff)
This mod does exactly what it says, it enhances Vanilla Minecraft. This includes being able to mute certain sounds, edit hitboxes, edit how your chat looks and edit how tab looks. Again, another very useful mod that I highly recommend!
