Hi there! If you are a new bedwars player, this is probably a helpful guide to get you started on the basics.
What is bedwars?
Bedwars is a minigame where each team gets a bed, and the goal is to defend your bed and destroy other team's beds in the process. You can get iron, gold, diamonds, and emeralds from different generators which you can exchange for items like blocks to defend your bed, weapons, TNT, pickaxes, ender pearls, and much more. Bedwars is divided into 5 servers, Solo, Doubles, Overpowered, Triples, and Quadruples.
Defending your bed
You can defend your bed in a lot of ways, i am going to tell you how you can defend your bed like most people do, you need to stock up on iron and gold for the blocks you will need. You need 24 iron for 12 blocks of end stone, 4 gold for 16 blocks of wood, and if you have emeralds you need a few for obsidian. But if you just started, end stone and wood will do. Do not cover your bed with wool, it will give other people a chance to destroy your bed easily.
Destroying other people's bed
You can also destroy people's bed in many ways. You can rain TNT on the bed, or you can destroy it with a pickaxe. I am going to show you both ways. To rain TNT on a bed, you need to build a pathway to the island first. Be careful as some people have fireballs that can destroy the path and bring you to the void. If you have emeralds you can easily teleport to the island with no one kicking you off to the void with a bow or a fireball. Once you have built a pathway to the other island, go to the top of the island, preferably you can block off the team's access to the top, once you are on the top, you need to make a little bridge until you are above the bed, after you have done that, you can place TNT beside the bridge you made, and the TNT will automatically fall to the bed, causing damage. After the TNT has done it's job. You can now use your pickaxe and destroy the remaining blocks and the bed.
Different generators
There are different generators in the game that you can go to. The most easily accessible generator is the iron and gold generator, it is easily found in your island, the next one is the diamond generator, you will find this near the center of the map. The final one is the emerald generator. You can find it in the center of the map. The island in the center has plenty of space so you will find multiple emerald generators.
Island Shop
In every island, there is a shop, you can buy anything from blocks, weapons, armor, bows and arrows, pickaxes, potions, and other stuff.
Upgrades
In every island, there is a spot where you can upgrade stuff. You can upgrade your swords and armor. You can also buy a trap so that every person on the opposing team enters your island, they will get blindness and slowness. You can also buy mining fatigue where other people from the other teams break your blocks slower than normal. You can also buy heal pool where you get a regeneration field around your base. You can also buy another mining upgrade where you and your teammates get Haste II. There is also an upgrade called Forge that upgrades as you buy it. The first one speeds up how fast iron generates, then the next one speeds up how fast gold generates, and so on until you can generate emeralds on your island.
Coins
Unfortunately, you cannot spend coins on the game. But you can get coins by killing other people and destroying beds.
