Introduction
Becoming a staff member isn't always easy, but it's definitely achievable if you are determined and willing to put in great efforts. This article will walk you through everything you need to focus on before submitting your application.Following this guide doesn't guarantee acceptance, but it will greatly improve your chances of becoming a Trial
Behavior and Reputation
Before reviewing your application, we also look at how you behave around the community. Being respectful, active, and approachable leaves a much better impression rather than meeting bare-minimum requirements.Following are some criteria you should meet before making an application:
- Keep a clean record and avoid receiving punishments shortly before applying
- Be respectful and polite in all our platforms (In-game, Discord, and Forums)
- Stay out of any unnecessary drama and arguments in general.
- Make positive connections with staff members, as it generally helps when receiving feedback on you.
Rules
Having a good understanding of Network rules is one of the most important parts of becoming a staff member. It shows that you are prepared for the role and understand how to handle different situations fairly.Don't just focus on the Global, Discord, and Forum rules. While they're the ones you'll use most often, you should also take the time to learn:
- Screenshare Rules
- Allowed & Disallowed Modifications
- Gamemode specific rules, especially the gamemode you want to moderate in
- Rules offense information, as you'll use it regularly when handling punishments
Community Involvement
Being a member of the staff team is more than just enforcing the rules. It's also about being someone who contributes to the community and is willing to help others whenever they can. There are plenty of ways to show this before you even become a staff member:
- Help players who have questions in Discord or Forums
- Regularly interact with the community, especially on Discord
- Offer useful replies instead of sending meaningless messages to increase your activity
Reporting
Constantly reporting players is unarguably one of the most important requirements when it comes to applying for a Staff Position. As of now, the minimum report requirements are:- 40+ submitted reports on Forums
- Great Reporter: 250+ Reports submitted on Forums
Applying
Great! Here comes the final part, your application. Writing it may seem difficult at first, but it's not as complicated as you might think. That's what we recommend as well. Don't over complicate it, and just be yourself, write genuine responses.- Take your time and put effort into every answer
- Use proper grammar and punctuation so your application is easy to read
- Be honest and be yourself. Don't exaggerate or make things up
- Write detailed answers instead of short one's
- Read through your application before submitting to catch any mistakes or anything you could improve.
