i mean, in many cases a set of pots is more likely to get you the bed and get you out alive solar beam can be used in the same turn if combined with power herb or if sun is up :p -

sure, but having items that allow for totally different strategies than anything we've seen before promotes a different style of play, and with the drawbacks it has it's not as if it's going to be a super op item. but thanks for the feedback :D -

If that were to be the primary use of it, then its cost would need to be altered similar to how TNT is more expensive in triples and quadruples. This is a decent solution, I guess, as it could add another way to spend gold in late-game solos. Interesting idea. Anyway, I've got to go off for now... -

Oops, didn't quite think through how this item would work in solos. If anyone has any ideas on how to make it work, I'll be happy to hear them out! If not, we can probably come up with a solution ourselves, or just make this item unavailable in solos.
