As far as I know, the only method to get gold through payment (assuming no sale) is by purchasing one of the gold options listed in the table above. The maximum amount you can obtain is 140 gold for 1 euro.- usserwout

How did you arrive at €0.707? Each key costs 1000 gold, and if we convert this to money, we find that 1 key is priced at 1000/80 = €12.5.
